My Week in Life
Last month, I traveled to the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture and took many photos of Diana and her friends. This week, I selected 212 of those photos, along with others I had taken previously, and found an online store to print them. I bought an album to store these photos and preserve these memories.
I also started doing daily workouts. It's a tough beginning, but I found some High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) videos on YouTube, which I found more energetic and enjoyable compared to the ones on Keep. For anyone looking for HIIT videos on YouTube, I highly recommend this channel. https://www.youtube.com/@JuiceandToya
My Week in Study
This week, I delved into React, a front-end library for building user interfaces. I learned about the background processes during React rendering and how to prevent performance issues when React re-renders. Although the React documentation is generally high quality, I found some blogs that explained the nuances of React rendering in greater detail.
- Why React Re-Renders
- React re-renders guide: everything, all at once
- How to write performant React code: rules, patterns, do's and don'ts
My Week in Dev
I upgraded the Vue version of a side project this week, which proved difficult due to the project's development history. The migration document provided by Vue was helpful, but many issues had to be addressed individually, including the API, testing, and third-party libraries. This experience underscored the importance of regularly updating project dependencies, don’t ignore the major version bumps.
1chore: upgrade Vue to version 3Additionally, I added a subpage for the photography section on my website, allowing visitors to view full versions of each photo. I plan to add a swiper feature to this subpage, so visitors can easily navigate between photos.

I'm excited to see what the next week will brings 🫣.
